Rey is our principal physiotherapist, and is highly skilled and sought after. He graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2011.
He has experience in Maitland, McKenzie and Mulligan styles of physiotherapy. Rey’s areas of interest include; chronic and complex lower back and neck pain, whiplash associated disorders, dry needling, manipulative therapy, and sports injuries.
He is experienced in dealing with work-cover and compulsory third party injuries, and works closely with doctors in the Redcliffe Peninsula. His aim is to provide professional treatment to ensure optimal results.
Mary is another of our highly skilled physiotherapists. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA in 2009. She then went on to complete a Doctor of Physiotherapy from Bond University. She has experience as a certified personal trainer, as well as her own personal experience playing field hockey for many years.
She strives to encompass a holistic approach to patient care utilizing the multi-disciplinary approach to treatment, and aims to help her patients become self-sufficient with the management of their condition. Mary enjoys treating varied musculoskeletal conditions, and believes in a ‘hands on’ manual therapy, and exercise-based approach to treatment. Her aim is to ensure the best long-term outcomes for her patients.
Kirstin is a physiotherapist whom graduated from The University of Queensland with honours in 2012. She enjoys working as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to a wide variety of client groups.
Kirstin aims to assist clients with the confidence to self manage their condition and return to their previous level of function, using a combination of hands on and exercise based therapy. She also has experience treating clients across the lifespan in the community, hospital and aged care settings, and has additional lymphoedema training.
Annalise is one of our physiotherapists at On The Pulse Physiotherapy. She graduated from Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, and has since strived to become part of a supportive and close team passionate about helping clients and dedicated to providing high quality care. She has experience in various fields of physiotherapy, including musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, neurological, women’s and men’s health, and aged care.
Annalise has a particular interest in the management of lower back and neck pain, and endeavours to ensure a comfortable and friendly environment for all of her patients. Her career goal is to provide the best possible care whilst incorporating her client’s personal goals to ensure long-term wellbeing.
Jake OwenExercise Physiologist
Jake is and Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), having graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology from Queensland University of Technology in 2014 & attaining accreditation with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
He has experience working in rehabilitation within multidisciplinary clinical settings, as well as strength and conditioning of semi-professional athletes and diagnostic testing of respiratory patients within hospitals. Jake uses his professional experience combined with an individualised approach to ensure that exercise prescription and rehabilitation are specific to patient goals and utilises the most up-to-date information available.
Jake is especially passionate about:
• Rehabilitation & management of injured workers to return to the workforce
• Intervention of exercise & correction of movement patterns to reduce pain
• Supervised exercise of older patients with the intention of improving ability to perform everyday activities such as rising from a chair, getting out of bed

Ellen MooneyExercise Physiologist
Ellen is one of our Accredited Exercise Physiologists’ here at On the Pulse Physiotherapy. Ellen graduated from Queensland University of Technology in 2015 with a bachelor degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology. She has gained experience in the field by being exposed to a variety of healthcare settings and client conditions. More specifically, prescribing exercise programmes for conditions including cardiopulmonary, metabolic, musculoskeletal, neurological, and psychological. Through a combination of her professional experience, academic knowledge and enthusiastic nature, Ellen endeavours to assist clients based on their personal needs through an evidence-based, multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare.
Ellen has a keen interest in the rehabilitation of sporting injuries, which has stemmed from a love of sport in her own life, as well as delivering strength & conditioning and rehabilitation services for injured rugby league athletes at the Intrust Super Cup level. Ellen is also trained in both matwork and reformer Pilates.
Garrick Harding-SmithExercise Physiologist
Garrick’s interest in the human body and rehabilitation led him to complete a degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology at the Queensland University of Technology. His passion for helping people achieve their goals and improve quality of life has led to many successful outcomes. As an exercise physiologist, Garrick has worked in both private and public settings. Specializing in muscular rehabilitation, athletic development and chronic disease management and prevention, Garrick ensures treatment is delivered holistically to develop the best management plan for the patient. Garrick provides rehabilitative care through exercise delivery, health education, lifestyle modification, advice and support. Exercise has continually been shown to be important in optimizing physical function and wellbeing.
Samantha KnowlesOccupational Therapist
Samantha graduated with honours from the University of Queensland in 2016. She is now a registered Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia and a part of the team at On The Pulse Physiotherapy. Samantha has experience working with clients across the lifespan from paediatrics to aged care. She is passionate about helping people to achieve their best potential in everyday life alongside the multidisciplinary team. Samantha has a particular interest in post stroke and brain injury recovery, and empowering people to take charge of their own health. She also has experience in providing functional and home assessments, assistive equipment recommendations and prescriptions, and strategies to help clients manage acute and chronic conditions.
Courtney CampbellOccupational Therapist
Courtney is an Occupational Therapist who graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a bachelor’s degree in 2016 and is a registered member of OT Australia. Courtney is an energetic and motivated practitioner who aims to work holistically and collaboratively with clients to achieve their set goals. Her experience spans predominately within the community sector, working with people both in the clinic and at home to deliver a unique service. She has further experience working with clients within schools and aged care facilities to ensure their safety and independence in completing activities that are meaningful to them. Courtney strives to carry out the best quality service by using evidenced based practice and clinical reasoning to improve quality of life for her clients.
Andrea Ortiz Dietitian

Andrea can help to guide you through these barriers.
Andrea is our Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD). She graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with Honours in a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition and Dietetics) and is a registered member of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).
Andrea’s goal is to provide her clients with up to date, credible nutrition information. She is passionate about encouraging clients to develop a positive attitude towards food and enjoys working one on one with clients to assist them in finding practical, realistic and lifelong solutions to meet their nutritional goals.

Rachel is a Remedial Therapist here at On The Pulse Physio, obtaining a Cert IV in Massage Therapy and Diploma of Remedial at Australasian College Of Natural Therapies. Rachel specializes in Deep Tissue & Trigger Pointing Techniques. Qualifications are;
